ZIRO, Dec 15: The Old Ziro Market Welfare Committee (OZMWC) and the local branch of the Apex Bank on Friday organised a ‘social service-cum-awareness programme’ here in Lower Subansiri district, on the bank’s ‘Go Digital’ initiative.
Addressing the shopkeepers, Apex Bank Branch Administrator, Habung Lampung, highlighted the IT-enabled facilities of the bank, and said “the Apex Bank is now fully computerized and rendering banking services at par with other commercial banks.”
He informed that the bank will soon install its ATM booth.
Earlier, OZMWC Secretary, Habung Takka, highlighted the importance of cleanliness, and asked the shopkeepers to keep their surroundings clean, while the committee’s Chairman, Tailyang Millo, urged the shopkeepers to bank with the Apex Bank and avail of the facilities on offer. Branch Manager, Mudo Tatung, spoke about the bank’s IT-enabled facilities.
More than 100 businessmen and residents of Old Ziro participated in the programme.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who was on his way to Raga, stopped by to witness the programme.
