AALO, Dec 16: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan has urged the officials of the medical department to work out elaborate arrangement for the success of the forthcoming Measles Rubella Vaccine Campaign (MRVC).
Addressing a meeting of the District Task Force for Immunization here on Thursday, the DC stressed on launching the national immunization programme in an effective manner, and called for creating all-round awareness.
DMO Dr N Geyi highlighted the importance of the MRVC, and sought the cooperation of the stakeholders, such as the Education and the ICDS departments.
It was decided to chalk out a special strategy to ensure 100 per cent coverage of Mechuka and Gensi, as the two areas have witnessed frequent outbreak of measles in the last 5 years.
DFWO Dr Tomar Kamki, WHO Consultant Dr Vijay Deokar, and Lower Siang DMO Dr Marbom Basar also spoke. (DIPRO)
