AALO, Dec 17: The weeklong celebration of Vijay Diwas by the military station here in West Siang district culminated with patriotic fervour on Saturday.
Retired Group Captain M Panging attended the function and gave a brief account of the 1971 war. He paid homage to those who laid down their lives for the nation.
The celebration featured cultural presentation by school children, band display, and sports activities.
The parents of Naik Tape Yajo, Kriti Chakra (posthumous) and other ex-servicemen were felicitated on the occasion for rendering patriotic services to the nation. (DIPRO)
