Himalayan University hold first convocation, 410 students get degrees

JOLLANG, Dec 22: As many as 410 students received their degrees at the first convocation of the Himalayan University here on 22 December.
The graduating students who received degrees included those pursuing Arts, Social Science, Commerce, Science, Law, Special Education, and Library Science.
Six students – Lama Yangki, Dawa Drema Maney, Marpi Dulom, Taglo Murtem, Kasem Moyong, and Kenya Kadu were awarded gold medals.
RK Mission Hospital Secretary, Swami Vishwahananda, who attended the convocation, urged the students to contribute to the society and work with integrity, unmindful of the challenges they have to face.
Rambhau Mhalgi Probodhini Executive Director, Ravinder Sathe, observed that degrees can be useful “only when education can be spread for the welfare of the society.”
