ITANAGAR, Dec 26: Officials of the Social Justice, Empowerment & Tribal Affairs (SJETA) department on Tuesday visited Poma village in Sangdupota circle to assess the progress of ongoing work on projects for establishing a mixed horticulture and a tribal bamboo crafts centre.
The department is funding both the projects.
The team, comprising SJETA Secretary Madhu K Garg and Director Yumlam Kaha, inspected the horticulture gardens and interacted with the beneficiaries.
Garg expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the horticulture scheme, and urged the farmers to make proper use of centrally-sponsored scheme.
The duo also interacted with the area’s panchayat leaders. Poma Anchal Samiti Member Techi Ana was also present during the visit.
