Aboh inaugurates male dormitory at Moktowa village

KHONSA, Dec 27: Khonsa West MLA Tirong Aboh has inaugurated a male dormitory (Morong), locally known as Paa or Pang for Hah-shaan shum colony at Moktowa village amidst huge gathering of villagers and Govt officials on Tuesday.
In his inaugural address, Aboh called upon the villagers to keep the Morong system intact for wellbeing of the society.
In the past Morong was regarded as very important institution to conduct all kinds of village council (Noga-wang Ngoathoon) meeting in which even criminal cases, boundary disputes, divorce cases were settled, he said.
Responding to the public memorandum, Aboh announced Rs. 2 lakh for construction of one sanitary toilet and play ground within Morong compound.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Moktowa and head GB, Teiwang Lowang and Gienwang Wangsa lauded the MLA for fulfilling the demand for 12 kms link road from Dadam circle headquarter to Moktowa village besides providing power supply to the villages.
However, both the Chief and GBs requested the MLA to sanction one high power transformer for Moktowa to reduce frequent power disruption problem in the village.
Aboh has further appealed all the church leaders of Moktowa to educate the villagers and youths about the need of maintaining hygienic life.
Later he distributed 218 blankets to leaders of various churches and villagers.
