Task Force meet on Immunization

ZIRO, Dec 27: Chairing the 2nd District Task Force on Immunization (DFTI) meeting for Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) held in Ziro, DC Kemo Lollen said that campaign scheduled to be rolled out in the first week of February in the state needs massive basic ground work. Any laxity from our side will result in poor coverage”, he said.
Taking serious note of non-issuance of formal participation letters to all the nodal teachers and CDPOs, he has directed DDSE and DD (ICDS) to immediately act on it.
He also insisted on formation of a core committee and activation of block level Immunization Task Force for effective monitoring of the immunization programs.
DMO Dr. Tage Kano called for strictly adhering to the government timelines for various activities under MRVC. He also suggested for creation of a whatsapp group for better coordination and effective coverage. With most of the private schools closed for winter vaccations, the officials will have to create intensive network to track the target population, he also added.
DRCHO Dr.Derin Likar informed that sensitization program for teachers, medical and Paramedical staffs have already been conducted. MOs have further been directed to conduct awareness programs at their respective blocks, he informed. DIPRO
