PASIGHAT, Dec 28: The Women Against Social Evil (WASE) conducted a two-day consultation programme at 12 schools in East Siang district on 26 and 27 December.
The programme was held to encourage young students to be safe this festive season.
The children were advised to create awareness among their fellow mates, and to keep their parents or guardians informed about their whereabouts.
The organisation appealed to parents and guardians to be responsive towards their children, and to create a healthy bond with them.
WASE General Secretary Joya Tasung Moyong informed this reporter that the students were very responsive to the consultation programme and promised to avoid drugs and other harmful activities.
