NESA says denied of democratic rights

ITANAGAR, Jan 5: The Nyishi Elite Student’s of Arunachal Pradesh (NESA) stated in a press release on Friday that it has been denied exercising its fundamental rights by being prevented to organise a peaceful rally in the Capital Complex.
It stated that its members had taken out a peaceful protest march from Akashdeep to Nirjuli on 27 December, 2017, to ventilate their grievances.
‘But when the rally reached near Bank Tinali, the administration with the help of police stopped it from proceeding further,’ the NESA said, adding that it was a violation of rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 19, 21, and 22 of the Constitution of India.
On 4 January, the NESA said, it again sought permission to take out a rally; but it was again refused.
