ZIRO, Jan 10: In all, 16 Swacchagrahis of Lower Subansiri district under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) attended a training programme conducted by the Ziro unit of PHE & WS Division here on Wednesday.
Attending the inaugural programme, Executive Engineer Kago Habung urged the Swacchagrahis to work in close co-ordination with the Zilla Swachh Bharat Prerak, AEs, JEs and all officials of the department for better results.
Habung further stated that spreading of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) message to the masses would largely depend on Swacchagrahis as they would be the first line of interface between the department and the villagers.
Attending the programme as resource person, Zilla Swachh Bharat Prerak of Lower Subansiri district, Beauty Kena elaborated on the duties and responsibilities of Swacchagrahis and various components of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). She also spoke on the issues of maintenance of IHHL after its construction as well as solid and liquid waste management.
Ziro AE Hibu Kojin, Raga AE Bomi Nyorak, Yachuli AE Nabam Chada, consultants and block coordinators also attended the training.
