KOCHI (Kerala), Jan 15: Arunachal Tourism bagged the ‘best decorated stand (national)’ and the ‘exotic destination of the year’ awards in the recently held India International Travel Mart (IITM) at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here.
The state tourism department stall drew an overwhelming crowd from the host town. Hundreds of visitors thronged the Arunachal Tourism stall and enquired about tourist attractions in Arunachal Pradesh.
Many local tour operators of Kochi expressed interest in selling the tourism destinations of Arunachal Pradesh. Some direct-tour package sales were made by the participating local tour operators from Arunachal Pradesh.
The IITM is an event for national and international travel communities to come together to showcase their tourism potential.
