AALO, Dec 15: The Ramakrishna Mission School held a cultural dance competition at the Gumin Kiin here on 14 January as part of its forthcoming 50-year celebration, the main event of which will be held from 2 to 4 February.
Speaking on the occasion, West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan and School Managing Committee Chairman Kento Ete stressed on the importance of discipline, hard work and respect for teachers to succeed in life.
At least 11 teams from different schools of Aalo and Jirdin participated in the competition and revealed many aspects of the Indian tribal culture before the audience.
A panel of judges comprising Roge Ado Ete, Moter Riba Rime and Limi Ete adjudged Ramakrishna Mission School, Aalo and Ramakrishna Mission School, Aalo (Secondary Section) as the winners of the competition.
RKM School Secretary Swami Purnajnanananda Maharaj and Ramakrishna Mission School Aalo Alumni Association President Jarsa Gamlin expressed their gratitude to everyone for the successful celebration.
The golden jubilee celebrations will continue with an inter-school-cum-college football competition at the Aalo general ground. (DIPRO)
