AALO, Jan 16: Basar won the district level Hangpan Dada Memorial Football Trophy and will represent West Siang in the state level tournament scheduled to be held here from the last week of this month.
Aalo West won the women’s football and men’s volleyball titles, while Aalo East won the women’s volleyball title. All the winners of the district level tournament will represent the district in the state level event.
Meanwhile, the district administration has geared up preparations for organizing the tournament.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of EAC Henkir Lollen to chalk out elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth organization of the state level tournament.
Director of Sports, Tadar Appa and his team of officials are camping here to oversee the preparation activities.
The men’s football and volleyball will be held at the general ground and the government higher secondary school, while the women’s events will be held at Kamba. (DIPRO)
