DAPORIJO, Jan 16: Thirty-four women, along with officials and staff of the ICDS office participated in a sensitization programme on domestic violence and sexual harassment at workplace, conducted here in Upper Subansiri district on Tuesday.
Protection Officer Tonia Natam apprised the participants of the Domestic Violence Act, while ICDS Deputy Director, JJ Singh spoke about harassment of women at workplace.
Probation Officer Tanga Gamlin dwelt on the POCSO Act, protection of children from sexual offence, and women’s legal rights, and CDPO Ejum Doye Bui enumerated women’s rights.
