Anjaw DEO holds electoral awareness meet for women voters

HAWAI, Jan 17: Anjaw District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Mamata Riba and her team of officials on Tuesday organized an electoral awareness programme, especially for women voters, at circle headquarters Manchal in Anjaw on Tuesday.
The women participants from different villages were explained about their fundamental rights of voting and also about ethical voting.
The deputy commissioner accompanied by various departmental heads and engineers visited the Manchal area to take stock of the problems faced by the people.
Observing that there was acute shortage of drinking water during winter, she asked the PHED to make efforts to provide the minimum water requirement.
The deputy commissioner was briefed about the problems faced by the Manchal Government Middle School during her visit to the school by the chairman of the School Management Committee.
Later, Riba interacted with the Panchayati Raj leaders and the administrative officials during a public meeting.
Appointment letters along with symbolic red coats were handed over to four Gaon Burahs of Manchal circle on the occasion.
