NAHARLAGUN, Jan 19: State IPR official Denga Bengia on Friday received the amount of Rs 6000 which he had earlier handed over to one Prafulla Bhuyan to open an account in the Naharlagun branch of the Axis Bank.
Since the account has not been opened yet, Bengia has also returned all the documents, including the passbook and the ATM card, to the bank’s branch manager.
Earlier, on 29 November, Bhuyan had allegedly persuaded Bengia to open an account with the bank and had been absconding for over a month.
After his patience ran out, Bengia had filed a complaint with the branch manager recently, and a follow-up action was initiated.
