NAHARLAGUN, Jan 22: Twenty-four ministerial employees from works departments in the Capital Complex are participating in a three-day training programme on ‘office rules and procedures’ which got underway at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) here on Monday.
The programme is aimed at sensitizing the ministerial employees to office rules and procedures, and guidelines issued by the state government from time to time.
Addressing the participants, ATI Director Pate Marik lamented that ministerial employees of work and Health departments are not getting much motivation and guidance in terms of office rules and procedures as their superiors and controlling authorities are basically from technical background and lack adequate knowledge of procedures.
He urged the participants to develop the habit of reading the rule books and instructions on a regular basis, adding that being ill-informed would lead to encouraging corruption and setting the wrong precedent in the public delivery system.
