NAHARLAGUN, Jan 22: The Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs (SJETA) department on Monday sent off Ruba Sakmi and Pisa Aju from Kurung Kumey district to witness the Republic Day celebration in New Delhi, at the invitation of the union tribal affairs ministry.
Two tribal guests (one male and one female) from each state are invited by the ministry on the occasion of Republic Day each year to witness the parade in New Delhi.
Sakmi and Aju will represent Arunachal Pradesh as tribal guests, along with SJETA special educator Pura Aiya.
