ITANAGAR, Jan 25: Welcoming Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s decision to initiate a Special Investigate Cell (SIC) investigation into the alleged illegal regularization of teachers, the state unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) on Thursday stated that the SIC ‘should not become a mere eyewash but unearth the truth behind such irregularities in the education department.’
‘The NPP is of the opinion that the education department should be free from any form of corruption, especially while recruiting teachers and teachers’ regularization, because our educated youths are being deprived due to rampant corruption during the process,’ the unit’s Spokesperson Nima Sangey Saling stated in a release.
‘The recent regularization of teachers by education department without following the norms and procedures and neglecting the seniority list seemed to be serious offence of corruption,’ Saling said.
The party also urged the state government to ensure proper vigilance in order to check prevailing corruption in every department.
