YAZALI, Jan 30: Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH), Itanagar, in collaboration with the Lower Subansiri District Health Society organized a free eye screening camp at the community health centre here on 27 January.
After screening was done on more than 200 patients, 27 were diagnosed with cataract. Twenty-two patients were brought to Itanagar to undergo cataract surgery at RKMH free of cost.
Patients suffering from various eye ailments, from villages like Kuch-Kuth, Possa, Pitapool, Lich-Lith, Depo, Deli-Peji, and Taid attended the medical camp.
Medicines were also provided to the patients free of cost.
The camp was supported by the Mission for Vision, a Mumbai-based NGO.
