ITANAGAR, Jan 31: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Dr BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed their greetings to the Idu Mishmi tribe and the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Reh Festival.
In his message, the governor said that Reh is one of the most important festivals of the Idu Mishmi Tribe.
“It reflects the vibrant cultural traditions of the community and its celebration strengthens preserves, protects and re-enforces Idu Mishmi cultural identity”, he said.
The governor also appreciated the elders of the Idu Mishmi for keeping their socio-cultural traditions strong and vibrant and expressed confidence that the contemporary and coming generations of the society will continue to keep their ethos flourishing.
Extending warm greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, particularly the Idu Mishmi community on the joyous occasion of Reh festival, the chief minister in his festival message said that the Idu Mishmis are known for their creativity and popular for being the custodians of rich Mother Nature.
He appreciated them for conserving nature and contributing immensely towards fighting global warming.
