MLA calls for cent percent coverage under MRVC

ROING, Jan 31: Lower Dibang Valley MLA Mutchu Mithi has urged all stakeholders to ensure cent percent vaccination coverage in the district during the Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC).
He said this after launching the MRVC here on Wednesday in presence of Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, ZPM Starson Saring, DMO Dr R Tatan, HoDs, PRI members, doctors and officers and officials of the district hospital.
Stating that the MRVC is one of the biggest programmes undertaken by the central government, Mithi hoped that the district would achieve 100 per cent vaccination rate, given the sparse population there.
Stressing on the importance of creating awareness, DC Mitali Namchoom informed that those children who are already vaccinated against measles and rubella diseases should be vaccinated again during the campaign.
DMO Dr R Tatan and DRCHO Dr Raju Mena also spoke on the occasion. (DIPRO)
