NAMSAI, Feb 21: Huge number of university, college and school students, besides government employees and public participated in a marathon themed ‘Run for Sports’, which was organized by the Department of Sports here on Tuesday last.
Earlier, Namsai Deputy Commissioner, RK Sharma flagged off the marathon race which began from Namsai Town Club campus to Noa-Dehing Bridge point and culminated at the Town club.
Asmi Sonowal, Santa Kumari Tamang and Phekhu Wangsu secured the first, second and third place in the women’s category, while in the men’s category Anup Neog, Rahul Tanti and Shyam Thakur came first, second and third respectively.
