NAMSAI, Feb 22: The skill development and entrepreneurship department with the cooperation of the Namsai district administration conducted a job mela here on Thursday.
Namsai Deputy Commissioner RK Sharma applauded the efforts of the department for conducting the programme in the district for unemployed youth of the area to become self-employed. He also advised the youth to complete their training under their respective vocational training providers (VTP) to become self-employed with logistic support from the government.
SDE Director Subu Tabin urged the youth to acquaint themselves with the latest skill and avail all benefits extended by the government.
Namsai ADI Biman Ranjan Dey explained the motto of the job mela and objectives of Skill India Mission of the central government.
A total of 129 youths registered their names under five VTPs camped at Namsai from across the nation.
Among others, Namsai ZPC C K Munglang and NSDC coordinator N Vengulaker, government officers and public leaders were present on the occasion.
