Union minister seeks proposal from govt to promote tourism

NEW DELHI, Feb 27: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism KJ Alphons sought proposals from the state government to promote tourism in the state.
The minister suggested this during his meeting with Governor of Arunachal Pradesh BD Mishra here on Tuesday.
At the request of the governor, the Union Tourism minister also assured to visit Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier, both the governor and the union minister discussed on tourism potentials of the state, particularly Tawang and Parshuram Kund.
The governor stressed on the need for developing road connectivity, providing accommodation facilities, medical care and security for the visiting tourist in order to develop the tourism sector.
Sharing his observations during his recent visit to Parshuram Kund, the governor suggested that there should be good arrangements for the pilgrims to perform the rites and rituals. (PRO to Raj Bhawan)
