DC exhorts youths to join Indian Air Force

PASIGHAT, Feb 28: Deputy Commissioner In-charge T Borang (ADC) called upon the youth to join the Indian Air Force and serve the country with dignity and pride.
He said this when Junior Warrant Officer, IAF Guwahati, Balider Singh called on the deputy commissioner in-charge at his office chamber here on Wednesday to discuss on recruitment of north east youths in the IAF.
Borang urged the visiting officers to provide more job opportunities to the young and energetic youths of the state.
Earlier, the Junior Warrant Officer briefed the DC about the recruitment procedure in details.
He informed that Wing Commander CO Adiya Udai Singh has asked the district authority for wide publicity so that youths from the north east region, including non-APSTs participate in the recruitment rally, which is scheduled to be held at the Borjhar Airforce Station in Guwahati (Assam) on 17 March.
Any 10+2 (With 50% marks in any stream) candidate can appear along with original class-X and XII pass certificates for the recruitment test of Group “Y” (Non-Technical).

Later, Singh also visited Jawaharlal Nehru College and met Principal, M Modi and asked him to motivate and apprise the students about career prospects in the IAF. (DIPRO)
