ITANAGAR, Feb 28: A new weekly train services from Naharlagun to Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi has been introduced.
Arunachal Express, the newly introduced express train will be the second direct train connecting Arunachal Pradesh with the national capital.
A weekly AC express train is already operational between Naharlagun and Anand Vihar.
The Arunachal Express will have state-of-the-art LHB coaches, and will cover 2013 km distance between Naharlagun and Anand Vihar Terminal in a little over 38 hours. It will have 14 stoppages en-route. The train will be completely air-conditioned and will have first class, two-tier and three-tier coaches along with a pantry car.
Union Minister State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Minister of State of Railways Rajen Gohain are expected to flag-off the train at Naharlagun Railway Station on 1 March at 11.15am.
