Authorities urged to conduct strict ILP checks in state

ITANAGAR, Mar 5: Expressing concern over the rising number of crimes against children in the state and the murder of Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank cashier Bomge Nyori at Mebo recently, the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) has appealed to the state Home department to take up urgent steps to ensure that strict checking of Inner Line Permit (ILP) is carried out at every check point of the state.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of Bomge Nyori, the union appealed to the law enforcing authority to award stringent punishment to the criminals as per the law.
Further, taking serious note of the increasing number of missing children in and around the Capital Complex, the union urged the administration and police department to carry regular ILP checks in the twin city.
