ITANAGAR, Mar 5: The All Kurung Kumey District Anti-Corruption Organization (AKKDACO) has in a release on Monday, appealed to the Kurung Kumey Deputy Commissioner to take urgent steps to ensure that there is no enrolment of underage voters in the enrolment list of the district and to immediately cancel names of all such voters.
The organization claimed that voters below 18 years in the district are being illegally enrolled in the voters’ list and demanded immediate cancellation of all underage voters from the enrolment list before the forthcoming Panchayat elections.
It further threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demand is not fulfilled soon.
It also demanded proper implementation of the Border Area Development Programme in the district and appealed to the DC to give strict directives to the executing agency concerned for proper implementation of the fund by maintaining work quality.
