AALO, Mar 8: Three colonies of Aalo Township -Kabu Masi, IRN Bn Complex and Old Market were awarded for being the cleanest colonies of the town during the annual function being organized by the Reyi Multipurpose Cooperative Society in collaboration with RCCN TV Aalo, at the Gumin Kiin here on Wednesday.
The said colonies received the first, second and third places respectively, to bag the cash prize of Rs 1, 00,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25, 000 along with trophies each.
This is the fifth and final year that RMCS in collaboration with RCCN TV has conducted the cleanliness award to promote a sense of cleanliness among the dwellers of Aalo town after instituting the award for the first time in the year 2013.
The society also felicitated Yati Ruku, topper from Monigong Secondary School on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Aalo PWD SE, Tumto Kamchi urged all NGOs, welfare societies and students’ organizations to come together and take the initiative for growth and development of the town.
Chairperson of Pasighat-based Ayang Society, Aini Taki Taloh, GRK Bam President, Tojo Bam, Deputy Director Urban Development and Housing, Helly Welly and Director RCCN, Liduk Ete were also present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
