ITANAGAR, Mar 9: All Arunachal SSA Teachers Association (AASSATA) has expressed strong resentment over non-fulfillment of the demand for batch-wise regularization of services of SSA teachers by the State Government despite assurances.
In a representation to the Chief Minister, AASSATA stated that the State Government, despite assurance, has not yet taken any concrete step to regularize the service of the SSA teachers.
It said that the State Government, which has approved 1100 TGT posts that were created under secondary education, should equally be distributed in elementary education along with creation of PRT and TGT posts under DEE as a mechanism for batch-wise regularization.
AASSATA also demanded that APTET/CTET should not be made mandatory for teachers appointed prior to 2012 since RTE was implemented in Arunachal Pradesh after their appointment.
Around 6850 SSA teachers in the state under the banner of AASSATA had organized a series of democratic movement during November last year to press the Government for fulfilling few of its demands, including regularization of the SSA teachers’ services. The movement was called off by the SSA teachers following assurance from the Government to consider their demands.
