LONGDING, Mar 14: The District Legal Services Authority (Tirap, Changlang and Longding) and Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) conducted one day Legal Service -cum-Awareness camp on government welfare schemes and programs here on Wednesday.
The camp was organized by DLSA led by JMFC Khonsa Domo Padu with due support from district administration.
Informative stalls of various departments showcasing their departmental flagship programs through placards, pamphlets and banners were some of the main attraction of the day.
In every stalls, staffs were deployed for interaction with the public and to clarify their doubts whatsoever about the subject of their concern. A set of sanitary toilet model displayed by the department of PHEd &WS in the stall were appreciated by all.
Advocate Wangtan Wangsu, a member of the District Legal Services Authority Longding unit informed that the programme was first of its kind and his team of DLSA has even deployed free transportation for villagers to attend the program. The program will be held at Tirap and Changlang later this week.
The HoDs from different departments highlighted the governmental schemes through a power point presentation to the gathering advocating them for proper availing of the benefits.
The topic ranging from registration of adhaar card to enrollment of people under MGNREGA schemes, DULARI KANYA schemes under ICDS, PMAY under DRDA &DUDA and various bank loans under SBI were enunciated to the gathering.
The DC VS Mallik Longding, while applauding the mass participation of general public from all corners of district, appealed the gathering to avail the maximum benefits from various Central and state govt schemes. He stated that the government functionaries are accountable to the people and it is their first and foremost duty to facilitate the implementation of govt schemes in letter and spirit.
Earlier Domo Padu, JMFC -cum-District Judge and also the Secretary of District Legal Services Authority highlighted the basic idea behind the programme.
