DA seizes expired medicines, goods

ROING, Mar 19: Large quantities of expired medicines and grocery items were seized from various pharmacies and shops at Shantipur area of Lower Dibang Valley district during a raid conducted by a team of officials and police on Monday.
The team led by Parbuk CO Sanjay Taram raided two pharmacies and 20 shops and seized the expired items, which were kept in stock for sale.
The CO took strong exception to the illegal selling of medicines without prescription and stocking of expired medicines and goods, consumption of which may lead to serious health implications.
Taram said legal action, as per the provisions of the law, will be initiated against the defaulters. (DIPRO)
