ITANAGAR, Mar 24: The state unit of the BJP held a two-day review meeting on internal organizational structure and functioning, besides conducting a daylong workshop for its ‘vistaraks’ (full-time party workers) on Friday.
Emphasizing on booth level action, the party’s NE Zonal Organizational General Secretary Ajay Jamwal commended the vistaraks for their selfless dedication and service.
In his address, state BJP president Tapir Gao said, “PM Modi’s mantra of ‘sabka saath, saabka vikas’ must remain our sole objective and all karyakartas must be on a mission mode to take the central schemes and programmes to all nook and corner of the state.”
Meanwhile, three senior Congress leaders joined the BJP on Friday.
After resigning as state general secretary and spokesperson, respectively, of the Congress, Hayang Mangfi and Hina Camder Tok joined the BJP in the presence of Jamwal and Gao. Along with them, Kamba ZPM Gedo Kato also formally joined the party, according to a BJP release.
“I have joined the party to contribute, and my contribution shall speak in the days to come,” said Mangfi, the release added.
