YUPIA, Mar 26: Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye has directed the district’s administrative officers to create wide publicity in their respective jurisdictions to encourage youths to participate in the Army recruitment rally scheduled to be held at Jairampur in Changlang district from 10 to 13 May.
Addressing the officers in his conference hall here on Monday, the DC advised them to conduct meetings with stakeholders like panchayat leaders, NGOs, student leaders and youths to encourage unemployed youths to participate in the recruitment rally.
He informed that selected youths will undergo a month-long pre-training with the Army at IG Park, and that an online registration centre will be set up at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Naharlagun to facilitate online registration, which is compulsory for all candidates.
Online registration started on 9 March and will close on 24 April. The process of registration can be accessed at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. (DIPRO)
