ITANAGAR, Mar 26: Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan urged students to “dream big in life and follow your passion with sincerity and dedication.”
The DC was addressing students during the Prachodaya Shivir (high achievers’ camp) at the VKV here on Monday. Nineteen high-achieving students from VKVs across the state are participating in the camp which began last Saturday.
Dhawan encouraged the students to give their best to whatever they are good at, and to think of their insecurities as challenges to overcome.
“This is how we will grow,” he said, and advised them to learn something from every experience.
Highlighting the importance of education, the DC said that, along with being educated, “one must also learn to be a moral and ethical human being.”
He also asked them to be disciplined and to respect their elders.
Acknowledging the contribution of the VKVs in the state, the DC urged the students to always acknowledge the contribution of their school and their teachers, and to do selfless work, saying, “When achievers become givers, the society will definitely forge ahead.”
Dhawan also showed a short video, themed ‘When you have to do something, do it in the best possible way’, to motivate the students.
