ITANAGAR, Apr 2: The North East Students’ Organization has deeply mourned the demise of former All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) leader, Darasing Tayeng, who passed away at the Bakin Pertin Memorial General Hospital in Pasighat on Saturday.
‘Tayeng served the AAPSU for more than two decades and sacrificed his youthful age for the greater interest of the student community of the state,’ the organisation stated in a condolence message on Monday.
Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the organization prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
The All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU) also expressed deep shock over Tayeng’s demise, and prayed to the almighty to bestow enough strength to the bereaved family in their hour of grief.
APPDSU president Nabam Tado attended the funeral service for Tayeng at his native village.
The All Kra Daadi District Students’ Union (AKDDSU) also mourned the demise of the former student leader.
In a condolence message, AKDDSU president Gora Rikam Bhai recalled Darasing Tayeng as a ‘committed and honest student leader who contributed a lot towards the uplift of the AAPSU and the student community of state.’
Terming his demise a great loss to the student community and the society as whole, the AKDDSU president extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
A team of AKDDSU members led by its president also attended the funeral service at Mebo in East Siang district.
