ZIRO, Apr 6: Mopin festival was celebrated here in Lower Subansiri district with traditional fervour and gaiety on 5 April.
Entrepreneur and a progressive farmer Likha Maj, and Tani Supun Dukun president Khoda Ruja attended the programme. They lauded the Galo community for preserving their cultural and traditional practices, and encouraged the younger generation to uphold their age-old traditional values.
Popir dance and cultural performances by troupes from Galo, Nyishi and Apatani tribes added colour to the celebration. (DIPRO)
