TEZU, Apr 9: Chongkham-based 20th Madras Regiment is imparting ‘pre-Army recruitment training’ here for the youths of Lohit and Anjaw districts.
During the 17-day training, which began on Monday, the youths will be equipped with knowledge and physical training required for competing in the Army recruitment rally scheduled to be held at Jairampur in Changlang district from 10-13 May.
Sixty-eight candidates enrolled for the training on the first day, and the number is likely to increase in the coming days.
The 20th Madras Regiment’s Commanding Officer, Colonel Vikram Singh Nalawade, and Tezu SDO Kajal Karmakar attended the inaugural function in the auditorium of the IGG College here. (DIPRO)
