PASIGHAT, Apr 13: Ten rural youths benefited from a three-month vocational training on ‘Nursery production as enterprise’ which concluded here on Thursday.
During the course of the training, jointly organised by the College of Agriculture, the College of Horticulture & Forestry, and the East Siang Krishi Vigyan Kendra, the participants were trained on developing skills in various aspects of nursing and managing flowers, vegetables, forest plants, and such.
The participants underwent hands-on training at various nurseries, and were provided in-depth knowledge on propagation of various crops. They were also taken on an exposure visit to a commercial nursery in nearby Jonai (Assam).
