ROING, Apr 25: A month-long Summer Sports Camp for children between 7-15 years has begun at the Ita Pulu Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.
A first of its kind in the district, the sports camp is being organised by the District Olympic Association (DOA) in collaboration with the District Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
The camp will provide special coaching to the children in Badminton and Karate.
Badminton will be coached by Open Melo, a national level player, who has represented the state multiple times.
Eko Mega, who is a black belt in karate, will be coaching the children in the sport.
Anjite Menjo of the DOA informed that 50 children have joined the camp so far.
