ITANAGAR, May 8: The All Tali Area Students’ Union (ATASU) claimed that there is insufficient ration in Tali and Piposorang circles due to unnecessary lifting of passengers in ration sorties.
In a letter to the deputy commissioner of Ziro, the union claimed that government employees posted in both circles are facing insufficient ration as allocation itself is meagre.
The union added that some rice bags have often been unloaded at Naharlagun and Ziro to accommodate passengers.
“Some passengers board on ration sorties with the help of influential people, forcing the ration bags to unload”, the union claimed and urged the authority to look into the matter.
