ACS seeks regular RGU VC

ITANAGAR, May 10: The Arunachal Civil Society has sought early appointment of vice chancellor for the Rajiv Gandhi University.
In a letter sent to the MHRD, it said that the university has been running without its regular vice chancellor since December, 2017.
The tenure of Professor Tamo Mibang, who is the in-charge vice chancellor at present, expired on 19th December, 2017.
In absence of a regular academic as well as administrative head of the institution, the university is forced to maintain only its routine activities. No major initiatives, including fresh recruitment of faculty members and non-teaching employees, could be taken undertaken by the in-charge vice chancellor, it said.
If further said that the university does not have a permanent registrar or finance officer.
