NAHARLAGUN, May 10: Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch/ SIT/ Crime against women) Shweta Chauhan visited Oju welfare Association on Thursday and interacted with the women victims of the Swadhaar Greh (Short- Stay Home). She counselled the victims and offered to provide support and guidance.
She also visited the Specialized Adoption Agency (Shishu Greh) and children’s home and interacted with the children rescued from child labour, missing children, and victims of sexual offences.
Later, Chauhan visited the Women Helpline -181 and reviewed a few cases handled by the helpline so far. She appreciated the outstanding work of the helpline in terms of victim support, counselling and other assistance.
Appreciating the yeomen work rendered by the organization, she offered to provide all possible help to the organization in carrying out its activities.
