ITANAGAR, May 17: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has said it will organize a sit-in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, in Itanagar on 21 May.
In a press release, the union on Thursday urged people from all sections of the Arunachal society to register their protest against the “anti-indigenous and anti-Northeast bill.”
The decision to hold the protest was made during the recent meeting of the North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) in Guwahati. The sit-in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill is the second phase of the NESO’s agitation against the bill.
