ANSU opposes posting of teachers without relievers

ITANAGAR, May 17: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) has reiterated its demand for immediate cancellation of the transfer orders issued to teaching and non-teaching staffs in Nyishi-inhabited districts until relievers for the staffs are identified.
In a representation to the education secretary, the ANSU said that instead of considering its 20-day ultimatum demanding posting of subject teachers, principals and vice principals, the department is transferring principals, vice principals, and teachers, “without providing any relievers, which is against the interest of the students and serious violation of transfer-posting norms.”
The union also said that the DDSE of Kamle district is reportedly being transferred without him having completed his tenure, and added that posting a new DDSE to the newly-created district would “hamper the functioning system.”
Reiterating its opposition to any move to transfer teaching and non-teaching staffs without relievers, the ANSU said the education department should instead fulfill the union’s demands before the deadline mentioned in the ultimatum.
