TAWANG, May 19: A police team from here recently arrested two wanted felons from Assam and West Bengal.
On 11 May, the team, comprising Sub-inspector Sang Thinley, ASI Koncho Tsering, and Constables Lobsang Tashi, Sushil Singh and Jambey Lhendup arrested one Sanjib Sa from Village 4 Kotwali in Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. Sa was wanted for stealing a bag containing Rs 4 lakhs from a grocery shop in Tawang township.
Two days later, on 13 May, the team arrested one Kharendra Basumatory from Dhekiajuli in Assam. Basumatory was wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a juvenile girl from Tawang. (Tawang Vigilance)
