ZIRO, May 22: Members of the Niichi Niitii Youth Organisation with help from the Lower Subansiri district administration on Monday destroyed ganja plants which were being grown illegally in a large area stretching from Joram to Pai Gate.
The destroyed ganja plants were later burnt in the presence of EAC Mokar Riba and police.
The organization said similar drives will be carried out from time to time to stop the drug menace in the area.
The ganja plants were easily accessible to the addicts as the plants were being grown along the roadside. (DIPRO)
