KHONSA, May 22: A district level review meeting on Special Intensified Mission Indradhanush (SIMI), Intensified Diarrhea Control Fortnight (IDCF) and Dulari Kanya Scheme (DKS) was held at the DC’s office here on Tuesday.
Presiding over the meeting, Tirap Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon called upon the medical officers, ASHAs and anganwadi workers, along with leaders of various churches and panchayat leaders to bring mass awareness among the villagers on the need of maintaining hygiene.
He also instructed the ANMs, AWWs and ASHAs to distribute ORS packets to every household, especially in the villages.
Speaking on Dulari Kanya Scheme, the DC said “the message of ‘Ladki ko padao, desh ko bachao’ needs to be spread all over the country.
DRCHO Dr N Angu highlighted the achievement of SIMI Round 1 and the target under SIMI Round 2 (starting from 23 May), IDCF (starting from 28 May) and the Dulari Kanya Scheme.
DMO Dr N Lowang, ICDS DD Aryoma Lowang-chha, and DPM Lomhat Lowang also spoke. (DIPRO)
