PASIGHAT, May 28: The North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), established here in East Siang district by the AYUSH ministry, is expected to start functioning soon.
A team of officials from the ministry recently inspected the various compartments of the NEIFM building, and are reportedly satisfied with the infrastructure development.
“Communications are being made with the ministry for early functioning of the institute,” NEIFM Director Pekyom Ringu said. He said institute is only waiting for the ministry’s nod to start functioning.
Advertisement has been floated by the ministry to fill up the vacancies of doctors, botanists, and other staff of the medical institute.
